My name is David Chaben and I am a 32 y.o. photographer based in Metro-Detroit, Michigan. If I were to put a label on myself, I’d say I am a multi-disciplinary photographer. I currently work in the automotive sector however I try to bounce around as much as I can to sharpen my skills. Currently employed at Stellantis NA (formerly FCA) as a photographic imaging specialist. I’ve done everything from crash cars under high-speed camera’s at 5000 frames per second, to providing a fully composited 155 photo-bracketed image of a newly designed engine that was being added to new vehicles released to the world. My rise into the creative industry started with directing music videos. After a brief stint in the film/production realm, I then started traveling and freelancing at festivals, which lead to working with artists directly and promotional companies alike. Once I gained my footing, I explored more commercial and industrial leads which lead me to my current position at Stellantis now (I left out all the savory stuff like failing a lot, getting steamrolled in the industry by competition, and of course… a lot of doubt).

I created Document-Everything almost 10 years ago now, when it was first a mantra. I was showcasing not only my work, but the work of others as well. Fast forward, the mantra still stands. Document-Everything still has it’s ethos of trying to benefit others with the help of me and my camera. I’ve been fortunate enough to have work showcased in several magazine outlets, online websites and in print.
